The Purple Row Rockies Hall of Fame was created in 2014 by user TheTulowiitzkiGeneration ostensibly to celebrate the recent retirement of Todd Helton. The rules for the initial ballot in 2014 were as follows: Retired players only (must be retired, not simply no longer on the Rockies, though retirees are immediately eligible), 75% of the votes required for induction, and anyone who received no votes fell off the ballot.
In 2015, the rules were amended. Though 75% of the ballots were still required for induction and it was still limited to retired players, players needed 5% of the votes to remain on the ballot, while executives and contributors were counted separately, with the same 75/5 criteria.
